Price Confidence
BACKGROUND
As users are browsing merchant product pages, what kind of information can the extension provide to best assist them in their shopping journey [and ultimately lead them to make the purchase]. We designed two different variations of a price history pop up and prototyped it into a flow within Best buy.
MY ROLE
UX/UI Designer. Responsible for the discovery, user research, testing, and redesign of the extension window.
TIMELINE
2 Months (November 2021 -December 2021)
TOOLS
Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, Userinterviews.com, unmoderated testing.
Problem
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Goals
Understanding how our users spend their time researching the pricing potential purchases? How long prior to pulling the trigger do they begin to look into the market – including big-ticket items along with everyday purchases
Between the two prototyped designs – Which design resonated most with users from a functionality perspective and do users see it as a helpful resource?
With all of the catalog information, we currently have on Best Buy, what information is most valuable to a user to display on the price confidence pop-up?
Research
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
